I been asked at times if some European car windshields can be repaired. At least if they are here in the U.S. yes; the D.O.T regulates this on a car. European cars though use laminated safety glass for the windshield, besides side and back glass on some vehicles. I was called to repair a rear laminated window on a Maserati Quattroporte, recently. Unfortunately it was beyond repair. I have over the years repaired many Mercedes and BMW windshields, including Mini Coopers.
Anyway yesterday I worked a windshield on a more rare car; a 1997 Porsche Carrera S. According to the owner, in 1997 Porsche made a few Carrera S, models with a turbo body even though the engine didn't have a turbo. This is one of those models. They also told me a few were made with 4 wheel drive. The model I worked on was a 2 wheel drive.

As you can see this car was very clean, show room condition.
